From the creator of Zimulated Experiencez comes the next mutation in nano punk cyber funk hip-hop Phoenix Orion, a card carrying member of both the Alien Nation (with Darkzeid, Naptron and Supernatural) and Zulu Nation, first starting turning heads at local clubs in New York City in the early 90's, most notably as a guest MC at the legendary Giant Steps. Eventually, he produced his first demo which surfaced on both coasts and led to an underground following that grew very quickly.

Phoenix Orion has a dark, sometimes apocalyptic lyrical view of the future. His intergalactic beats and hypnotic sci-fi rhythms were further explored on his 1999 debut entitled, Zimulated Experiencez (Celestial Records). This album featured contributions by other Hip-Hop artists such as Hive, Daddy Kev, Hermes and DJ Rhettmatic.

The Zimulated Experiencez album was named a top ten album of the year by www.hiphopsite.com and Vice Magazine. It also earned a spot in Urb Magazine's "Next 100 of 1999".

At the end of 2001 'Secret Wars' was released and like Phoenix Orion's previous effort, it expresses what you might expect from the album's title. The packaging looks almost like a comic book. It would be the perfect soundtrack for a “Terminator vs. Matrix” movie. On this album Phoenix uses a highly classified artificial intelligence software program, called “The Brain” to create beats which are eons ahead of their time.

With his mixture of reggae, Bernard Hermann-esque strings, interstellar grooves and lyrical acrobatics, Phoenix creates a futuristic soundtrack that proves there is indeed intelligent life in the universe.

Remember, this man lives in the future but during his brief stints in the present, Phoenix Orion can be found honing his mental powers, learning the latest fighting techniques, rocking the mic at local drum?n?bass and hip hop shows in L.A. and N.Y. and having lunch with best selling sci-fi author, William Gibson.

Phoenix has a very futuristic image indeed and most of the artwork for his releases are very science fiction based. His 'Neo Elo Alpha' album is an exercise in what he has coined - 'nano punk, cyber funk hip-hop'.

Phoenix Orion also appears on the remix-track "Rnw@y" on Linkin Park 's latest remix-album entitled 'Linkin Park - Reanimation'.

Phoenix Orion travels beyond Dr. Octagon's year 3000 and Deltron's 3030 to return to 3080 with his Team Eloheem crew and the On Point BioMarines to rescue the earth from the Alpha-Draconians, an alien race intent on stealing our life force. Introducing 3080 Flux, his newest solo release, provides a fusion of dark jungle with hip-hop, rock and classical. --- (source: sciphirecordings.com)
